Succumbed to temptation at Poundland

I went in for something else entirely and walked out with asparagus, artichoke, lily of the valley, and oxalis plants. First time I've seen the first two there. Now I have to figure out where to plant them...

I bought twenty asparagus plants twelve years ago. I kissed the last one goodbye last summer. The slugs slowly got them all.

    Jerusalem or globe?
Globe. I always assumed it was something to grow from seed so I was mildly surprised to see it.

I bought a few asparagus from Wilco about ten years ago and they still pop up every year, but I can happily eat asparagus every day so I thought I'd try and establish a few more. I haven't decided whether to put them in the same spot as the others or try a different location. They might be interesting in the front garden because of their big fronds.
