Rose pruning

Please can someone help, should I prune roses now or mid March? Last year did them in Feb then they got caught by frosts in March and year before did them in 
March then we had very cold wind in April/ may ! Although mild says we may get a cold snap in March so should I wait?.. thanks

    Early Spring is the usual advice - I prune mine somewhere between late Feb and mid March depending on the weather.
    Sometimes buds get nipped by frost, usually they don't.
    At the same time I give them a sprinkle of blood, fish and bone and a mulch of home-made compost.
    We can't KNOW what the weather is going to be, so it's a case of best guess.
