Greenhouse cresting

After much research I have chosen a greenhouse but it has no cresting. How important is cresting for a greenhouse in terms of stopping birds doing their business over the roof?

I have a 10x8 without cresting and lots of pigeons!
They do crap on the panes a bit, but nothing that's ever bothered me.
    Rain washes it off.

Obviously I have finials fitted - to stop the devil from sitting on the roof :)

Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
  • When erecting a new GH, I'd be more concerned about birds initially smacking into the glass until they have learned to fly over/round the new structure.
Unless you are in an extremely dry location, the rain soon clears it as @Pete.8 says.
Failing that, a wet mop/brush should sort it.
