Tomato Varieties for outdoors in Scotland

  • My go to varieties for outdoors are ‘gardeners delight’ and ‘cherry falls’. As others have said it’s hit or miss depending on the weather, that said I have found cherry falls to be fairly reliable (I usually grow it in a pot). I like to try a new variety each year, last year I tried ‘veranda’ but found it too small and compact (in fairness it is described as such) but did fruit ok. This years test variety it ‘shady lady’. Fair play to you for getting marmande to grow successfully outdoors as it’s one I have tried outdoors with no joy.
