I have a pan of narcissus bulbicodum which come up each year. I give them a feed when they finish flowering but no other attention. They seem to enjoy a good hot bake in the summer and gritty soil to grow in. I tried them in the garden but they disappeared quite quickly, probably too damp. In a previous garden I had an ever increasing clump growing in a rockery so good drainage seems to be a requisite
If you put the chicken wire on the top of the pots @GunStreetGirl, it makes it easier to take apart, and it also gives a bit of support to the foliage and stems as they grow There's a few daffs/narcissus that prefer a drier root sun @Joyce Goldenlily but most are quite happy in damper conditions- many actively prefer it, so it's always good to do the research when buying. I have some whose name is the person I was named after [or the spelling of her name anyway] and they definitely prefer drier conditions, which is very difficult here. My sister bought them for me as a present for a big birthday. I'm trying hard to keep as many going as I can! I always look forward to the daffs coming through, whether in pots or in the ground.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
