Plant ID please
This has been growing and getting bigger each year and I kept leaving it to see if it turned into anything. Well, today I got up close and personal with it as I was weeding and saw that it now has beautifully scented flowers. Ah - I thought - it is a self-set verbena bodnantense! I turned around to check the verbena bodnantense that I have growing on the other side of the path - and of course that has lots of flowers at the moment - but no leaves! And the flowers are different. Anyone any idea what this plant could be?

I agree with sarcocca hookeriana.
