Jasmine nightshade

My jasmine nightshade has been pruned back to 2 ft above the ground. It was pruned last October and is a very established plant but it isn't showing any new growth. It It likely to come back ?

I take it this is a solanum of some kind?
What colour was it? They can be iffy in some areas.
I think it's usually spring they get pruned back, so it may be a goner. or it may just need some time.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • It is a white solanum jasminoides  and was very well established main stem 3 inch in diameter. Unfortunately it was entwined in a fence which had half blown down an needed replacing so we had no choice but to cut it  :(

I think you might just have to wait and see then...and cross your fingers  :)
    Hopefully it'll come away.

These are pretty robust plants and can survive a harsh pruning.  Unless it has been subject to severe frost damage which is doubtful this year, it will be fine.  They are semi-evergreen - mine loses most of its leaves over winter and looks a bit sad but soon bounces back.  Give it a few handfuls of blood fish and bone now to help it along.  It should start to show signs of regrowth in March.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.
