Invasive ground cover

Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can help to identify this ground cover which is taking over my borders and how can I get rid of it? My first thought was a type of moss?

That's ok ... your description was fairly ... descriptive  ;)

There's not many plants that look mossy and are that invasive ... thank goodness.

  • I managed to kill mine in my horrible garden soil, it was too much even for this plant  However, hellebores do really well…
  • @Dovefromabove I think I know the answer but would this be OK to grow in pots? I could do with something groundcovery to put around the edges of my raised beds to soften and narrow the way through them.
  • You can start to grow it in pots ........ it won't stay there ........ it'll spread as soon as your back is turned ...... it's a tiny plant with huge colonial ambitions ........... I wouldn't ...  😱

  • @Dovefromabove Had a feeling you'd say that!
  • Some of us have been there before you @februarysgirl .... we made the mistakes so you don't have to  ;)
