Is this soil ok for wildflower turf?

  The wild flowers should be OK but grass will struggle if it's too sandy and stony. Water it well until it roots.

  If you buy a mix of annual and perennial wildflower seeds that are suitable for your oil type it is pretty easy to grow wildflowers and cheap. The key is poor soil so they down have to compete with grass.
  
  I buy mine from https://www.wildflower.co.uk as they offer mixes for most soil types and do 100% wildflower or mixed with grasses.
  
  I sowed ours pretty thickly and got a good show first year but even better the year after.
