What tree is this?

We have some lovely, old trees in the garden but don’t know what tree it is. Can anyone help identify them. They may be non-native as we have many specimen trees from the Victorian times on our grounds. Sadly one fell in the recent high winds hence the closeup of the bark

Possibly Salix babylonica 'Tortuosa' - contorted willow?

Welcome to the forum, by the way, @Chewbunny !   :)

I think you might need to wait for it to come into leaf to get an accurate ID. If you have photos of it in leaf that would help, as well as info about flowers/berries/autumn colour etc.  :)
Having said that, it also looks like an Ash tree. They look quite interesting when bare  :)
If you're in an area where dieback is common [we don't have it round here] it may not be that at all of course.

Someone else might be able to give you some further ideas though. @Silver surfer might be able to help.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
