What are these insect husks on my lime tree?
Overwintering my lime had been going well until I noticed it start to drop leaves, I checked it over and spotted some sap sucking insects (small and white) so took it outside to spray it, at which point I found a couple of scale insects and several of these:

What are they from and do I need to worry about them potentially being in my house now? (I can’t wait to have a greenhouse for overwintering!!)

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
if anyone is interested I asked the nursery I got the lime tree from (citrus centre) and they’ve said it’s most likely from brown apple moths, which would explain the moths I kept seeing in the house not long after we moved

It tickled me that the eggs must have been laid at our old house then hatched 80 odd miles away after we’d moved!
