Pittosporum Tenuifolium Golf Ball

Pittosporum Tenuifolium Golf Ball
Anyone had any luck with this plant? Am looking for a round shaped evergreen to plant 2 or 3 of in between  / in front of my limelight hydrangeas. I'd love some yew balls but they are so pricey and I am worried about them thriving in my clay soil
The limelights have done really well in the bed, it gets sun in the morning and then shad later on. North East facing. Clay soil but not really heavy clay

Thanks in advance

Ours was planted two years ago and is doing fine.  It’s on clay soil and gets sun for half the day.  We enriched the soil with well rotted manure and mulched the soil with bark chips.  We watered it regularly and gave it a liquid feed once a week during its first Summer.  It is only about a foot high.  Choose another variety if you want more height.

I panted 12 last March and they have already grown considerably.
The light green foliage is very welcome at this time of year.
I took the same approach as KOG above.
I dug in lots of composted bark to loosen up the clay then a few bags of rotted manure.
I kept them well watered and gave them seaweed extract once a month
     I'm very pleased with them.
