Banksiae lutea cuttings near to bloom(!)

hi everyone, 
I've just seen that a cutting putted in water last week is going to bloom instead of of putting out roots. I'm Wondering what's happening. 
Any advice?

    It's just continuing what it was going to do before it was made into a cutting.  I would remove flower buds and wait for it to sprout roots ... hopefully.   :)
