Thank you @Malorena@Fire@Pete.8 ,@DoveFromabove. I have just planted Rose Rushing Stream in my new border along with a large area of black Ophiopogon and Pittosporum Golf Ball .Still sourcing other plants for the project. I did notice today that Rushing Stream is not available at David Austin bare rotted. Think other forum members may have taken up your suggestion @Malorena
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
Just an update. Rose Rushing Stream is doing well it has at least two shoots. There is a very spindly stem that is crossing one of the stronger stems should I just prune this out. Did have a thought that these thin stems served a purpose? How far away from it can I plant other things such as annuals, just for this year until the border is more established. Thank you

Start as you mean to carry on, the beauty of these types of roses is that we don't have to bother with them too much, so no need to worry about little crossing shoots.. just leave the rose grow its own way, it'll sort itself out..
I would probably want to leave a 2 foot width around the rose for for your annual plantings..
Thank you @Marlorena. This small shoot was on the rose when it arrived so I thought it was ok, my concern was the fact that it was crossing. I will post a photo of my new border later in the year hopefully with some lovely white roses.

@Malorena It is just what I had hoped for, a few aphids which I squash along the way. I live near a wood, there are dog roses so this is the perfect balance. Over a hundred flowers and hips too. Very pleased.

Just an update. Rose Rushing Stream has flowered most of the summer. The second flush of flowers were forming as the first went over. I deadheaded the first flush although the suggestion was that it is also grown for it's hips. I still have flowers they have a lovely subtle scent. I am waiting to see if the hips are worth the wait. The second flush are on three log canes which I assume I shorten in February time? If anyone is able to offer advice it would be appreciated.
