Osteospermum cuttings growing flower buds in January!

I took some osteospermum cuttings in the autumn which rooted well and have been growing happily indoors. They are now starting to produce small flower buds, despite still being very small plants. Should I pinch out the buds to encourage them to grow into stronger plants?

Any advice appreciated, I'm new to cuttings and don't know what to expect!

I would take off the flower buds and let them concentrate on forming good root systems  :)
  • Thanks AnniD, that was my instinct too  :)
  • Thanks - mine are flowering too and look a bit leggy

Yes - same with any plant at this time of year, especially anything young. Always remove excess buds/growth so that the plants can create a root system Without that, they'll tend to be weak, which isn't beneficial once planted out.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
