    This was cuttings from an ornamental ivy my friend was hacking back @Fairygirl - so no chance to peg it down. You're right though - pegging down has been successful when I've done it in my own garden.🙂

    Not something I've ever tried, because the pegging is so easy. Maybe you'll need to give  the friend a pot and some wire.... ;)  
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Ivy is fine in a compost heap, as long as it goes through a shredder first.  It must make up about a quarter of the total material going into mine!
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
