I gather that this forum has been running for a few years or a lot of years as forums go. If the owners didn't like the fact that its members (not spammers obviously) recommended firms to help other members I think they would have said something by now. With regard to malicious malware and virus, it's up to us to make sure that our computers are up to date to keep them safe.
If you are concerned about a knock on the door saying you've been bad, replace one of the full stops with 'dot'. That will stop anybody clicking on the link but will be easy to change for anybody wanting to get to the site. e.g. gardenersworld dot com.
I have posted links many times and never even thought about potential issues.

If you want to check a link posted here simply hover over it with your mouse ( If using one) and the path (URL) embedded in the link will display in most browsers in the bottom left of your screen.
Links from scammers usually display one thing on screen , but when hovering over the link you can see the true path link displayed.
Same applies to links sent to you in an email.

Thank you all for your wise thoughts - you're right, those words are nonsense! It was the spammer posts that got me thinking about this. My concerns were unfounded - I know that we have a very keen team of anti-spammers on board providing a very effective defence! Thanks again 👍
