I've used the £12 wickes 73l black builders mixing tubs for about 5 years now. With holes drilled in the bottom, they are just the right size to grow a squash or courgette without watering being a big issue. I've also grown runner and climbing beans up 8ft canes in them. Handles are strong enough to drag them around when full without breaking (unlike the smaller yellow ones.) Thumbs-up from me.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
