orchids

I have been given a present of 6 large orchids and thought it would be nice to group 3/4 together in one large bowl as an arrangement .  Is it possible to do this or would the orchids not thrive?  Do they need to be in a clear pot before putting into a decorative pot.  I'm an orchid newbie!

    Do you know which orchids they are?
    Having more in one pot probably not a good idea as different orchids have different habits.
    No they don't need to be in a clear pot but if you are then going to put them in a decorative pot be very careful to check that they aren't sitting in water.
    Use rain water if you can and keep the humidty up by sitting them on a gravel tray.
