The Heuchera in the photo is called Mocha I moved it to a cooler slightly shadier spot in my back garden and it is doing well. When Heucheras get a little leggy lift and replant deeper. If you do have a vine weevil problem wash roots well as eggs are invisible to the eye and take cuttings. They don't do well in deep shade or as you can see full sun. Darker leaved ones are more sun tolerant. Parahebe Perfoliata needs good drainage and full sun hence the swap, easy to propagate lift a piece at any time in growing season and replant it will soon root but will need watering until established. Hope this helps.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I agree a more retentive soil is better . I have tried to change my user name a couple of times but no luck. Perhaps I need to start again or just stick to gardening!

I was given a peculiar user name when I joined GN but after I changed it and logged out, logged back in I became Uff. If you see AnniD's link you might find it useful. Best of luck.
You have to go in via the Gardeners'World.com link - top left of the page in the black section @GNuzpQFTXoG-D9FtILup73kiBZFY74rE Then go into your account settings from there. It doesn't work if you go via your settings top right of the page for some reason
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

However, there's a touch of spam in the air with that earlier query
