A bit of wildlife. One of the gardeners saw us getting excited about something in the border and she asked us if it was a snake, they have a small colony of grass snakes which likes to sunbathe near one of the walls in one of the enclosed gardens.
I went to Superbloom today (9 July 2022). I know it has featured on the thread before but as the display changes by the week I thought folk might like to see how it is looking at the moment. I’ll upload the photos in small batches to help those with slower internet connections.
If you’re looking for a classy place to stay in London, can I recommend the Cheval Three Quays, the curved glass building with the white bands. It’s an apartment hotel - spacious, stylish and the most astonishing views over Tower Bridge and around from the room balconies (our 2 bedroomed apartment had 3 balconies). I’ll scan through the photo roll later and see if I can find a couple of images. Unfortunately, as with everywhere in London, prices have shot up in the last 12 months
After Superbloom I went on a 10 minute walk to the Garden at 120. It’s been on my list of things to do for ages but, with Covid, it got delayed. It’s right next door to SkyGarden (which I have been to on numerous occasions) and, like SkyGarden, it’s free. The planting is better at 120 but the views from the more elevated SkyGarden slightly edge it.
