Is my bay finally going to flower?

TheGreenManTheGreenMan Posts: 1,957
Hi,

Almost 5 years since I bought this tree and it looks like it might finally be thinking of flowering.

Have I got this right? It’s not just something it does every year and I’ve got some kind of lockdown/Covid addled brain/memory thing going on!

Your input, as always, appreciated, loved, required!

Looks like it's about to flower. They are very subtle, you might say, and I don't think there's much you can do with the berries either.

How exciting Greenman. Just been out to check mine, see below, but nothing showing. Mine is only about a metre high though. Will you show up please when they open?

Mine doesn’t flower every year.  This was a couple of years ago.  About February I think, the Hellebores are out underneath it.

    Awwwwwww! I love it.

Yes I will post pics when it flowers
  • Keep an eye on it @TheGreenMan.....the Blackbirds and Wood Pigeons love the berries and happily distribute them everywhere.  Either thru their droppings or just being very casual and knocking off what they didn't manage to scoff.  My garden is full of Bay seedlings  :D
