Problem Solving.

Hello to everyone, I have a narrow 3 tiered terrace area of garden, in shade, acid soil. Planting ideas will be gratefully received. It’s virgin soil at the moment, so starting from scratch. Hope you can help get me started.

  • I have a problem with codling moth on my apple tree. Should I put a grease band round the trunk and hang a trap too? If so, when should this be done?
    Many thanks. Chris

You'd be better starting a thread with an appropriate title @Chrinnie.
The title of this thread is quite misleading unfortunately.   :)

In reply to your query @Annesandra Sathasivam - more information would be needed, and a photo or two would also help.  :)
Your  likes and dislike re plants, and the general aspect of the garden, plus the size of the tiers etc. All these are factors, as is your general location and climate. A seaside plot in the south of England is vastly different from a hillside in the north of Scotland  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
