    If you are so sure that it's a weed, then any effective weed killer should be able to remove it.
    Would not you, as a gardener, want to identify this plant that is new to you?  Do you have no natural curiosity?  Do you not want to learn more?

    Of are you advocating that if you don't recognise something you should kill it anyway?

    That makes the world you live in a very sad place  :'(

    I don't grow them, but aren't pumpkin leaves a bit like that?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I mentioned, "IF YOU ARE SURE". And by the way, I have a good garden that I will surely share the pictures here and I know every plant and their maintenance mechanism.

    The plant has been completely removed, so we can't get pictures of it in situ.
    (It was very invasive so needed to be dealt with quickly)
    My Mum has kept what looks like a seed pod, so if I get a picture of that I can post it.

    I think that's a possible spammer @Dovefromabove :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Yes @Fairygirl ... that thought crossed my mind when I responded on the 12th ... however, don't think much of their work ethic... very slow to respond ... glad they're not on my payroll ...  bad manners too ... no need to shout ... and I'm still waiting for pictures of their garden ... I won't hold my breath ...  ;)

    @Dovefromabove :D
    I hadn't seen the earlier post, but I looked at their existing posts. Doesn't sound legit, but hey ho. Benefit of the doubt and all that...for now ;)
    I definitely want to know the maintenance mechanism....

    I wonder if it'll rival the wonderful Heath Robinson ... have you seen his
    gardening illustrations @Fairygirl?

    Apologies to @mandm ... we're rather going off at a tangent here ... but if at any time you come back to us with a photo of the seedpod we will give it our full attention  :D
