I’m less than a mile from the sea and the garden is maybe 120sqm. I actually like laurels and don’t find them bland but appreciate all your comments. I’ve gone for grey composite decking and will plan the lawn round that.
Good luck with it @hvwalsh Some strong greenery through those long winter months is always welcome - it certainly is here. I hope the 'laurel link was useful, but don't be afraid to come back for any further info on it, or anything else
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks fairygirl, I read the link yes. I’m fine to a garden place tomorrow so will discuss the laurels with them. I’ve no plan for the rest of the garden, probably just lawn it for now to stop the dog bringing sand in constantly!! And then research shrubs, trees and plants
It can be daunting with a bare plot, but it's also good fun It looks quite open round about you, so a bit of a wind break will certainly be needed
Bear in mind that you can get bare root planting at this time of year, which is much cheaper too. There should be plenty of info on that H. Grove nursery link. You would just need the site prepped and ready to make the best use of it.
