Thals have to be one of my fav ever plants.

We've overlooked them upto now until this last weekend when we saw a beauty in someone else's open garden. I have a shady-ish spot in mind but my wife also wants one for 'her' bed so it looks like we'll probably be getting two :)

    Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

I do love that tree @Plantminded, so many berries. Is it a bit early for them ?

Thank you @AnniD, it makes a good show on that bank.  I’ve been thinking that the berries are a bit early too!  Maybe the lack of rain has triggered an early harvest.  The blackbirds are now getting quite vocal about the feast!
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

@jamesholt Your garden looks lushious and green. No heatwave or dryness in your part of the state?
Put your 4th pic the right way up.
