  • Beautiful colours and markings on these spring flowers, such a cheery sight at this time of the year.

@Athelas That's an impressive collection of crocuses you've got there! Where are they located in your garden? Do you have a large garden?
@pitter-patter I'm afraid I don't care for bi-coloured narcissus (and bi-coloured flowers in general), but I like a lot your Narcissus ‘Rip van Winkle’ and of course your lovely Anemone Blanda. Thanks for posting!

Lovely pics, I particularly like the Prins Claus,so unusual.

Thanks @Papi Jo, no I don’t have a big garden at all. My crocuses are all planted in a small south-facing patch in front of my house, right next to the pavement, as the actual garden in the back gets no sun at this time of year.

I planted 150 corms from Sarah Raven (https://www.sarahraven.com/products/the-carien-crocus-collection) plus 50 corms of ‘Flower Record’ (also from Sarah Raven) and 50 corms of ‘Zwanenburg’ (from a local garden centre) in a rectangular area of 3.5 x 0.8m in October 2020; they seem to be happy, except for being somewhat shredded by the winds from various storms last month.

I’ve observed though that the yellow and cream coloured ones — ‘Fuscotinctus’ and ‘Cream Beauty’ — don’t seem as vigorous as the purple ones, at least for me.
