Moving a gooseberry plant

tui34tui34 Posts: 3,493
I planted a gooseberry plant about 3 years ago in the wrong place.  When is the time limit I have to rehouse it?  It will be replanted in the ground.

Your comments will be much appreciated.  Thanks.

It's best to move them around now or before they start active growth in spring. If the ground isn't frozen then between now and March should be fine.
I've moved quite a few and they seem to do well provided you get as much root as possible and keep it watered during dry spells.

Thank you so much @thevictorianzFH0qqPW   I will endeavour to do that in the foreseeable future as digging at the moment with my "rib" may not be adviseable.  Especially if @punkdoc is reading this!!
