Echeveria brown dots

I've just noticed these dots spreading from the centre of my echeveria and am wondering if it's something that needs to be taken care of. The dots don't wipe off, all the leaves are still firm, I bottom water the plant so water never accumulates on the leaves, water it about every 1-2 weeks and it sits on my windowsill (south facing I think?) all day. Does anyone have any ideas what it is? :(

I'm no succulent expert, but I think you may be watering it too often, for Winter. Try reducing watering to once a month or less. My Echevaria look terrible during the Winter, and I often lose some to root rot, from too much watering. Mine are in my unheated greenhouse, and haven't been watered at all for a few months now.

If your windowsill is above a radiator, that may dry out the soil too much, if you are hardly watering it at all. A moderately cool/warm place may be better than getting baked by your central heating.

It's very easy to root individual leaves in Water (but best done in Spring/Summer).  Here's a link to a post I did about this, plus a photo shows how I do it. You can easily create lots of new plants this way.
