Cornflowers

Do I cut cornflowers back and if so to what length ?
I've struggled to find the answer so many thanks in advance.

    If they are the perennial sort you can cut all the old growth back low. New growth will start in the spring. The old growth will die down in the winter anyway, but needs clearing away before spring. I usually cut down my perennials around March, unless they are slimy, or really ugly. They help wildlife and protect the plants when it's cold.

    And if they are the annual sort they have completed their life cycle and can be removed.
