Fungi Identification in Hydrangea pot

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help identify this fungus at all? It’s sprung up in a medium pot with a hydrangea in.

Ideally looking to find out if it’s anything potentially like the honey fungus or similar that could have an impact on the garden and plants in general. Any tips on what to do would also be appreciated.

Thanks

Dig out one of the clumps and take a few more close up photos showing a side view of the stems and the underside of the caps please.
  • Thanks for your reply. I’ll try to do that tomorrow in the daylight, if not then over the next couple of days.
  • Here’s some more photos. Hopefully they’ll give more of a clue…

Thanks, my guess would be Laccaria laccata, The Deceiver. It gets that name because it can be very variable in colour. There are lots of similar small mushrooms though which makes it tricky get a good ID just from photos. Not poisonous or dangerous to your hydrangea or other plants.
  • Thank you, that’s great, really appreciate it
