Name Change

Since I joined the Forum I've been 'nick615', but have now summarily been redesignated in much longer form.  Can the Boss People tell me why this might be, please?

    If you were unsure, just clicking on your posts would have put your mind at ease.  
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I think @nick615 could be right... I posted about Storm Barra on p97 of Curmudgeons' Corner XVIII on 8th December, wondering how he'd got on (there was a lot of damage in SW Ireland).  Someone called Nick451992Ydc4vRfB wrote a reply immediately afterwards.  Was this you, @nick615?  Anyway, you've now apparently changed back to your old self... this thread appears under your proper "name".   :)
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    It seems to rely on whether I browse using Internet Explorer, the old one, or Google Chrome when it calls me Newbie Nick451992Ydc4vRfB.  I sometimes have trouble getting in on the MS one, so use Google.  They're both me though Liriodendron.

    I wonder if you are just logged in under two different accounts, each saves in the different browsers.  When I click on the Nick451992Ydc4vRfB name, it says you never started a discussion.. which you clearly have for this.  Log out of the long one and in with your normal one.
