salvia‘s from seeds

I loved how long my salvias flowered this year - I took some cuttings but would love to introduce some new ones.
Was wondering if they are easy to grow from seed?
Could i start them now under grow light?

Salvia patens grow well from seed. Started in February in a propagator, they flower late summer, but then form tubers which flower earlier the following year. The tubers need to be stored frost free over winter, much like dahlias, but as they are a lot smaller they take up less room.

Chiltern seeds have a good selection (scroll down for the flowering ones).

    (Other seed companies are available).
I wouldn't start them off yet, even with a grow light. Probably best to wait until March  :)
