Camasia to plant or not plant

Hi I've Just bought some camasia bulbs from the garden centre is it too late to plant out in the garden? Or can put bulbs in pots and keep under cover and plant out in Spring? Many thanks for reading

    They should be fine planted in the garden now.

    Camassias need soil which doesn't readily dry out, so just be aware of that if you're in a drier area, or have lighter soil   :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Thank you should I mulch the border after with compost to stop it getting too dry?

    That's hard for me to judge. I do nothing to mine, but I live in a wet part of the country, so the soil they're in never dries out.

    If your soil is lighter, and more free draining, it's certainly worth making sure there's plenty of organic matter in it - manure, leaf mould, compost etc. You can add that regularly throughout the year :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
