What to do with it.. should I cut back?

    Is it a lily?
    If you cut it back, I'd leave a bit so that you don't dig it up by mistake.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I never cut them, I wait until they’ve rotted down and with a gentle pull, come right out. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    I do the same as @Lyn. They just die back and come away quite easily.
    If it's something you see easily, and you don't like it, you can always cut them back just leaving short stumps, as @B3 says, so that you don't forget they're there. Or leave a marker of some kind.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
