What a difference a day makes

Although much of the colour had gone, the garden retained much of its structure and lush greenery well into November. And then ..... Wham!   :'(  Can't recall such heavy snow and severe freeze-up (down to -5 last night) in November for quite a few years. Bottom image from summer for contrast.
