Quick question - dahlia tubers

I'm storing dahlia tubers over winter for the first time.  Do you trim the roots off the tubers, or just leave them as they are?

Edit - sorry I posted this in the wrong section..  i don't know how to move it!

    You can do but I trim them off when iam potting them up in spring

    I lift mine in batches and trim roots as I go. Then I can blast on potting upon Spring which seems to take ages so every minute counts
