We found woodworm in our pantry shelves last week. It looks like we’re in sync in a very depressing way.  :/
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

We’re just about to get rid of the last wool carpet in the house because of them.
@Emerion can I ask what you are planning on replacing your current carpets with?

We need carpet in that room, which tends to be cold. There is one sold by carpetright which is synthetic and made from recycled material, so we’re going for that. In another room we uncovered a decent quality parquet floor, and there were some tiles in the hall.

It's incredibly middle aged, but I would interested to follow the process as I haven't put in flooring before and I have to do a similar thing next year. (If you fancy giving up dates). Crawling carpets are just too foul.

Sounds like a good title for a children's book.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

No dates yet, I’m afraid,  it will try and remember to message you.
