We need carpet in that room, which tends to be cold. There is one sold by carpetright which is synthetic and made from recycled material, so we’re going for that. In another room we uncovered a decent quality parquet floor, and there were some tiles in the hall.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.
It's incredibly middle aged, but I would interested to follow the process as I haven't put in flooring before and I have to do a similar thing next year. (If you fancy giving up dates). Crawling carpets are just too foul.
