Root spade!

Popped into Lidl yesterday, first time for nearly 2years. They had a lot of gardening stuff, and I came home with a really heavy duty root spade, only £14.99.  It has a saw type teeth at the bottom of the blade, I’m looking forward to trying it out. Hope this doesn’t count as advertising, I’ve bought quite a few garden tools from there in the past and been pleased with them.
Also bought a lot of other stuff I don’t need, I’ll have to ration my visits!

I just had to Google those Ergates and saw there are different types, some with smooth edges and some with saw type edges. Also found a trowel type one. We live and learn don't we?

Some of my best - and worst tools have come from there. I'm a bit more selective now.

One precaution is that some of the power tools they advertise more prominently are, in fact, accessories for a major power pack or suchlike, and one won't work without the other.  Other than that, for domestic use they're usually of good quality IMHO.
