Anemone nemorosa seeds

I’m finding it a bit tricky to source rhizomes at the moment, but came across a company that sells seeds.
Has anybody had success with these at all?
Wondering if they’d be better sown now and overwintered in a greenhouse, or if there is a better approach!

To be really successful with Anemone seeds they need to be sown fresh, In fact they need to be sown as green seeds straight from the plant. Any seeds which have been dried out in storage are effectively dead.

If you can get fresh seeds like that then sow them in normal compost and leave some where protected outside and they usually germinate in spring.

Thanks both. I’ll have a look, as it seems that fresh seeds may be a little hard to come by.

If you put 'Wood anemone in the green' in to a search engine you will get a large number of suppliers.
