Wallflower cuttings

I've just cut back my wallflowers which were getting very leggy.  There is a lot of new green growth along the stems and I'm wondering if it is too late to take cuttings? Seems a shame to compost it all if there's a chance cuttings may take?

    I’d give it a try … not a lot to lose if they fail and a definite plus if they take  :)

    That's what I plan to do, my gardening is essentially experimental!  I think the recommended time for wallflower cuttings is late summer?

    I've taken them at all times of the year in the past, certainly in the autumn ... most have usually worked.  :smile:

    I agree with Dovefromabove. In fact, I've shoved some in this morning and took a pot full a week or so ago. Some that I took this time last year were planted out in late spring.
