Hedge query - again!!!

So, I have planted 100 bare root Hornbeam 60cm-80cm hedge plants. I have done everything the internet said, root gel, bonemeal, de-weeding, mulching etc etc etc. I am curious (to say the least) to know when I will find out if I have killed them all! At the moment it looks like I have planted 100 sticks!!! Am guessing I won’t know until spring but patience is not my forte!! Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
