Overwintering annuals for next year possible ?

    Local climate is important.
    I have one spot in the garden (NE Scotland) that a pelargonium has survived for a few years, and the odd lobelia survives the winter.
    It's cold soggy soil that seems to kills plants, not the cold on its own.

    You can't overwinter annuals. Many tender plants are sold as annuals, but they are not. Some of these can be kept for years but annuals live just one year, as the name suggests.

    It depends on the winter. Several plants unexpectedly survived. All a little worse for wear. Some look healthy now and are doing well. Some weren't worth keeping.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
