New greenhouse

Hello everyone,
I’ve just inherited a large’ish greenhouse with electricity, fitted deep beds and water. I’ve grown tomatoes before but consider myself a gardening beginner. I’d like to produce things that myself and my neighbours can enjoy. What, if anything, should I be doing, or growing, now?

I don't think there's much that you can start from seed this late in the year, but you can plan what you're going to start in the spring, get your seed orders in (not sure whether companies have their new stock in yet but worth checking), make sure you have all the trays, pots etc that you'll need, heated propagator if you want to start tender things like tomatoes early, improve the soil in the beds if it's needed, make sure it's all nice and clean, etc.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Very nice thing to inherit. How big is large-ish? For some reason greenhouses remain firmly stuck in imperial measurements which can be handy as all you need to do is count how many panes wide the sides are and multiply by 2.
As with all fruit and veg growing stick to things you like to eat. No point trying to grow aubergines for example if nobody likes them. You could plant up a couple of troughs of strawberries now for an early crop next year.

You can still sow salad crops. We have in our polytunnel and germination is good.
Also pak choi albeit not as big as it was in the summer but still fresh greens in the winter months.
The same with carrots, again maybe not as big but still edible and heard on Radio 4 GQT that you can eat the young leaves in salads (didn't know that).
As @steephill said what a great thing to inherit.
Come the spring the different veg, and of course strawberries, you can continue with cucumbers, kohl rabi, aubergines, sweet peppers, chillies, different salad crops and tomatoes.
We also have chinese yams that are very scented with tiny little flowers which when pollinated they produce "yamlets" which are great in stir frys.

Very jealous and we need a picture. I disagree that there isn't much you can grow now. What form of heating do you have? I try very hard to keep something growing all year. It will take some planning. You can grow various salads, peas, broad beans now.start off strawberries, earlier crop if you grow in the green house. If you are going for ornamentals as well, with the extra protection, you may well get away with things like sweet peas, fox gloves. Annuals for next year like cornflowers
