query re: African Marigolds

I have taken the dead plants out of my pots.  Can I save these (dry them out) for next year or do the seeds need to be saved?
Thank you.

They're generally treated as annuals as they aren't usually hardy in the UK, even in milder areas.
To save the seeds, you'd need to wait for them to be going to seed on the plant.  :)

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thank you for your reply.   I will do this next year.  Are the seeds easy to gather?

I expect they're no different to any other plant. I don't grow them though  :)

Wait until the seeds are completely ready, and then you'll be sure they're viable.  :)
