My cheese plants are turning black on two leaves, I moved it to a spot where it should have indirect sun light (there is a window but it opposite a building)

It's on top of a vivarium at the cooler end (still got to sort that)

Also could you tell me what is wrong with this Philodendron Xanadu Lemon.

The roots were a little soggy but not much so that would indicate the plant is overwatered? The bottom of the two pots has perlite and the pot of the plant sites on that.

Also to add this was placed on the window sill but they were a radiator and this happens. I quickly moved it away but some leaves were already dead.

I'm autistic and find this a bit overwhelming

  • I don't have a monstera so I can't help with that one I'm afraid. The reddit sub plantclinic is great for identifying houseplant diseases & pests though - if you don't find answers here then I'd recommend there.

Your philodendron looks overwatered to me (I have mine in the same pot as yours! Snap haha). I've never seen a xanadu lemon, it's beautiful.

Assuming it's cared for similarly to other large philos I'd recommend first checking for root rot.

If the roots are still ok then place it somewhere warm, e.g. by a west- or south-facing windowsill, but to the side, outside of direct light to let the soil dry out. The warmth should come from the sun, not from a radiator where the air might be too dry.

Once the soil has mostly dried out I'd start a new watering regime. Using rain water or distilled water (I use my Brita water filter), take the plant in its plastic pot over the sink and water the plant slowly until water seeps through the drainage holes at the bottom. Once there are no more drips coming out, place the plastic pot back into your decorative pot. That way the plant's roots won't be sitting in water. Wait until the top ~1-2 inches of soil are dry to water again. For me that usually takes 5-7 days, but it's slowing down as winter comes and the plant goes dormant. From what I see online xanadus will need less frequent watering than that.

  • Ah I missed the end of your post - yeah the radiator may have been both too hot and too dry. Philos like a bit of humidity. Do you have another windowsill you could try?
