Cherry laurel in pots...is it worth moving to the greenhouse.

For the winter, will it grow any faster or better
Thanks

you'll do more harm than good.
It'll be "soft" when you bring it out next year.
Leave it outside  over winter .

Absolutely no need for them to be anywhere other than outdoors.
They grow fast enough without any help  ;)

They will grow faster and better in the ground rather than in pots.
  • Thank you.

As @steephill says - they won't grow so big in pots, as they aren't really suited to that long term anyway. They'd need very large containers [purpose built] to get to a good size.
If they have room - they're hard to stop.  :)

  • I would put them in the ground; I have moved quite large specimens without any problems so you can put them wherever you want them eventually and they will be much happier out of the pots if you have space for them.
  • Thanks, the reason they are in pots is I don't know where to put them, but as you say, you can always move them.
    I'll plant them tomorrow :)
    Any planting tips btw :)

Dig a decent hole, and plant. That's about it with laurel!
As long as the soil is half decent where they're going, and they aren't root bound or dry, they'll need very little attention at this time of year. A mulch after watering is good to help retain moisture and keep weeds at bay.  :)
