Laurel Hedge

Can I plant laurels in a trough of soil/compost with about 3 feet depth ,before it turns to subsoil and clay ?

    You can, but whether they'll thrive or not depends on the width and length of the troughs, and what they're growing in, plus the climate and conditions you have, and the care you give them.  :)
    Cherry laurels, in particular, want a lot of room for their roots to grow. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
