Don't forget to loosen the tie as the tree grows and increases in girth. I haven't seen that kind of set-up for staking before so I'm not sure how easy it would be.

Nailed down so tightly you have no way to loosen the strap as the tree grows.
Actually, I do - they’re just tacks. Easy to move, and the strap has a brace that you can’t really see between crossbeam and trunk that prevents any rubbing.
The linked processes are great for smaller/younger trees but not appropriate for 4m+ like mine.
