Just click on the heading. It’s how the rest of the site works. You’ve been around a while now … hardly a newbie …. and you were a regular pre 2016 … the site’s not changed since then.Ā

If you are confused then the How To notices at the head of the categories should help.Ā

As for the Anyone done any gardening today? thread …. it’s currently in its fifth edition each one of which has thousands of posts … I think that shows it’s popularity. The fact that it’s not been posted on for a short while is more to do with the time of year and the weather rather than it’s popularity.Ā

Minor curmudge here.Ā  Someone has been borrowing my thermal ski socks for gardening and walkies and maybe even golf and has left me with naked heels.Ā  Ā I shall have to hide the others.
I don’t call that a minor curmudge! ā€˜Someone’ will be well served if they get given ski socks of their own for Christmas rather than something more exciting!

It is indeed @Fairygirl.Ā  I don't understand why posters are continuing to "feed" him.

Same pattern every time - on every forum it's on, with varying names.Ā Ā  :)

I’ve been trying to help … it seems he’s very confused about the way the site works.Ā

As for your thermal socks … perhaps some replacements may be obtainable in Edinburgh? šŸ˜‰Ā

  • I could be losing the plot here but if there are so many other Boards which are better than this one, why on earth would one want to be posting on here ?Ā  It doesn't make sense. Surely best to stick with what you feel comfortable with and where your input is acceptable in both terms of knowledge and manner.Ā  If you don't like a particular food - for whatever reason - you don't eat it.Ā  Quite simple really. Trying to alter the format of this forum is either misguided missionary zeal or simply some form of controlling behaviour.Ā  Whichever it is, it's getting bloody ridiculous and if it is pissing me off after using this forum for 8 years, I can imagine that newcomers may find it off putting to say the least.Ā
It's a while til New Year but how about making New Year resolution now - knock off the pissy antics and accept that there are longstanding members here who know what they are talking about and without their help and advice on a number of issues, we'd be a lot worse off.

I must say, the ignore button has been really helpful. Unfortunately, I do get tempted to just have a quick look, particularly if I’ve seen an unblocked ā€˜quote’. If everyone pressed the ignore button, would the problem eventually fade away?

I don’t think I would be advertising with pride a Facebook posting if it was riddled with spelling and grammatical errors.

Feeling curmudgeonly people!! Just got a picture sent to me from my granddaughter, their mum acquired a new bloke, met him a couple of weeks back,we got on fine. My daughter wanted to go to fireworks display yesterday, said there was one here. She replied she didn't want to drive all the way down here (about 40 miles) after working. She had her jab yesterday, asked how she was,no reply. Then, grandaughter sent me a picture of the local beach,I replied,I was confused, she replied they were visiting the blokes Aunt. This is about 10 minutes away by car, they have to drive just 2 roads away from here. Sorry this sounds like Mumsnet, but I feel upset, they aren't bothering to come and see us. I know my Husband would be very upset,so I haven't told him. We had also chatted back in the summer about going to see Derren Brown,he is doing a show at our local theatre Finnishing tonight. Mentioned it to her,she just said she'd forgotten.

I'm curmudgeonly because I was working in the polytunnel, ( out of the rain ) and had to give up at 4.45 as it was too dark to see.Ā
